In compliance with accountability laws, the following reports are made available for viewing at the Central Office located at 943 Hwy 43 Saraland, Alabama. These reports are available for viewing by the media, parent organizations, and members of the legislature.
Accountability: Student Achievement - Student achievement data is released by the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) and is available at the ALSDE website (www.alsde.edu), under the ALSDE Spotlight labeled "Accountability Reporting." Accountability: Financial Statements - Financial Statements are approved by the Saraland Board of Education and are released monthly. They are also posted on the Saraland City Schools' website under Business and Finance. The link below directs to this area on the Saraland City Schools' site. Strategic Plan - SCSS Continuous Improvement Plan - The goals, strategies, and action steps included in the District Continuous Improvement Plan, focus on actively engaging students in instruction. They are based on academic needs identified during Continuous Improvement Plan quarterly reviews, annual federal meetings, and all other meetings concerning student performance data.
School Safety and Discipline - Developing and maintaining a safe and disciplined school environment requires accurate and complete information. In Alabama, the School Incident Report (SIR) program was initiated to meet state and federal reporting requirements of student violence and discipline. SIR school safety and discipline data is used for: school improvement, planning, and program evaluation; resource allocation; and, mandated state and federal reporting requirements.
